Suntory Boss – Dry
There are dry wines, dry bears and now we have a dry… coffee (Suntory Boss Dry to be more precise). Rate this coffee: I am sure you gonna ask – what does dry coffee mean? To be honest I do not know. I tried it and it tested more or less as an ordinary coffees. “More or less” is the catch phrase here. Indeed when I was drinking it I could feel a kind of dryness in … Read entire article »

UCC BLACK – The Real Black Coffee
The newest addition to the black coffees is UCC drink it BLACK: As all of the rest of the black coffees it is 0 calories, 0 milk, 0 everything (apart from coffee and water of course). Nevertheless I notices something very particular until I was drinking it. The taste of the coffee is indeed very pure. What I mean? Well, when you drink other coffees you always feel some very light other taste (like slightly acidic … Read entire article »

Cafe au Lait – The Creamy – One Of The Best Sweet Coffee ever from ITO EN
This is my first ITO EN coffee (I knew ITO EN as a producer of juices up to know) and I must say that Cafe au Lait – The Creamy is the best sweet can Japanese coffee I ever drank so far. Rate this coffee: . In general it is not difficult to find sweet can coffees in Japan. Actually most of them are quite sweet. But the Cafe au Lait – The Creamy has somehow “not imposing” … Read entire article »

Georgia Emerald Mountain Bland – Black
The Georgia coffee choice for purists: Rate this coffee: . There is no “super-size” me here. Just pure, black, refreshing coffee (0% milk and 0 calories). It is interesting that this together with the rest of the Georgia coffees has very mild acidic taste. This taste is very typical to virtually all Georgia coffees and may be is a result of the technology process. Still this is one very good everyday coffee for all the Black coffee lovers. Actually … Read entire article »

Georgia Emerald Mountain Bland – The Classic One
This is my coffee of choice for everyday: Rate this coffee: . Relatively mild taste and may be a little bit too sweat for the purists (this is not a problem though as there is a completely Black version of Georgia Emerald Mountain Bland – no milk, no sugar, no calories). In general Coca-Cola did well with this brand. If you are on diet be careful with this one – the energy content is relatively high – 34 … Read entire article »

Georgia Zeitaku Espresso – Small, Stylish and Good
If there is a luxury limousine among Georgia brand coffees this must be definitely Zeitaku Espresso: Rate this coffee: Actually “zeitaku” means luxury or extravagant in Japanese. It is usually smaller than the rest of the Georgia coffees – only 160 ml (versus the standard 190 ml). The energy content is 24 kcal per 100 ml. It is with milk and sugar and the taste is superb. It seems the people from Georgia coffee company indeed have been … Read entire article »

Espresso Classico Black – TullY’s Refreshing Morning Coffee
A great new black coffee from Tully’s. I am not a big fan of the black coffees but I can definitely make an exception for this one. Rate this coffee: I tasted it for a first time two days ago on my way to work and the refreshment was amazing. Strong and pure definitely a good new addition to TullY’s coffe brand. Low calories content 35 kcal for the whole 285 ml. Also this is one of the few coffees with written caffeine concentration on its label – 180 mg per 285 ml or around 63 mg per 100 ml (well within the average range of the caffeine containing beverages). I am giving it four (out of five) stars in my personal rating but I wouldn’t be surprised if a real lover … Read entire article »

BOSS Gold Presso – The Concentrated Power from Suntory
Boss Gold Presso is strong and when I say strong I really mean it (do not forget that I am drinking 5 to 6 coffees per day, every day). You would like to drink it only when your batteries are really down – the energy surge will be almost instantaneous. Rate this coffee: Unfortunately I couldn’t find the exact caffeine content of this Boss coffee but it must be at least double the usual. Despite the high caffeine concentration the taste of the coffee is also very good (well above average). The energy content is (surprisingly) also not written but as far as I can tell it must be between 17 and 35 kcal/100 ml (rather closer to 30 kcal/100 ml – this is a guess of course). In conclusion – very good … Read entire article »

Roots Demitasse – The Stylish Coffee
It is a relatively new addition to Roots collection. Rate this coffee: Apart from the very stylish can it has and very decent taste (a little bit too sweat though). Milky but not too much. The energy content is 40 kcal per 100 ml so it is definitely not very low calorie product (still well below most of the Mount Rainier coffee products). Wonda Zeromax – Another Great Wonda Coffee
This is my first post and it is dedicated to one of the Wonda coffees – Wonda Zeromax. By far the Wonda coffees are ichiban (number one) for me. The new Wonda Zeromax makes no exception: Rate this coffee: Rich but soft texture, relatively low calories (36 kcal/ 100 ml). Definitely one of the good Asahi products.
