Nishinomiya Gardens

2009.09.05

Today we visited Nishinomiya Gardens (if not the biggest, one of the biggest malls in Japan).

It is situated between Osaka and Kobe and can be easily accessed by Hankyu railway (Nishinomiya Kitaguchi station) .

(Actually there is a nice shortcut from the Hanshin line to Nishinomiya Kitaguchi station. You just have to change at Imazu station to a local (only 3 station Hankyu line which will take you directly to the shopping mall).

From Nishinomiya Kitaguchi station starts a walking path which is above the ground and it will lead you directly to the mall:

Nishinomiya Gardens is a great place to spend the hot summer days especially if you have kids.

The biggest attraction for them for sure will be the roof fountains.

To reach them you must go to 4th floor.

The funny thing for the fountains is that they do change with time. From very quite as on the picture below:

For the second picture the burst was so sudden that I had to run to save my iPhone (that is why it is distorted a little bit).

Here are and a few more photos from inside the mall.

May be it is worth mentioning that on the 4th floor there are many excellent restaurants some of them with direct exit toward the roof fountains. There are and additional playgrounds both inside the mall and outside (on the roof not far away from the fountains).
