Water Skiing In The Center of Osaka
You didn’t know that you can water sky in the center of Osaka? Well, me neither. But yesterday I saw it and even more – I documented it for the chottomatte.net readers/viewers.
First – the location. Okawa river – Osaka. Near Sakuranomiya (or Ginbashi) bridge.
Here are the precise coordinates (from Google map):
Second – time. Aound 16:00 p.m 28th of March 2010 (the beginning of sakura season in Osaka).
Third – main participants. Me – the “cameraman” on the Sakuranomiya bridge. Yellow speed boat with two dudes inside and two extremely cute girls with them (I am really, really sorry but I had to bluer their faces as I didn’t succeed to acquire their consent for publishing their pictures on internet). And a third dude – the water skiing one – mainly in or on the water.
Here is the complete action:
And here is the action in photo segments:
1. The dude is in the water trying to catch the pulling rope:
2. Here the dude succeeded to catch the rope and the extremely cute girls have noticed me (after that they started to lough and wave to me (the dudes on the boat continue to be serious) – I waved back.)
3. They are disappearing in the distance and that is when I finally figured up that I can take a movie.
By the way notice the entertainment ships passing by (after all this is central Osaka and it was the beginning of the sakura season). Sometimes you could see up to 3 or 4 boats at the same time. I do not think it is very safe (or wise) to water ski in such a busy river. Anyway – may be this is and part of the fun of water skiing in the center of megapolis
