Espresso Tea from Kirin
After the Samurai and “Obama” coffee chottomatte.net is proud to present you the Espresso Tea from Kirin:
This time I was not brave enough to taste it so I kindly asked a fellow person to do it for me. Here I will present her testimonials (after receiving her permission of course):
“too sweat, like syrup”
and
“you can feel tea aroma but not spectacular, I imagine espresso as concentrated tea”.
If I have to sum it up – sweat and not spectacular.
Nevertheless I think it is a good marketing strategy – it aims at both coffee (like me) and tea fans. In general it seems that the present economical crisis have stimulated the Japanese companies to look for new original ways to increase their sells and profits. Is this good for us the customers? I do not know but in general I do celebrate the diversity.

May be most important is the energy content – 45 kcal per 100 ml (the whole tea is 190 ml). It also contains milk and Vitamin C (not so typical for an “espresso”).
